Use Furniture Blankets to Improve Location Audio in Reverberant Rooms

IF you've ever recorded an interview on location, you know that one of the biggest challenges (other than ugly offices and boring commercial buildings) is capturing good audio.  If you are in a room with a lot of hard surfaces, full of nasty reverb and ring-y-ness, a easy and cheap solution is furniture blankets.  

Hanging these blankets up with light stands around the subject, out of frame, will dramatically increase the quality of your recording by decreasing the audio reflections aka echoes and ring.  For this particular episode, I used furniture blankets from home depot to solve this particular problem.  This week's vlog below:
