What Does Good Dialogue AUDIO Actually Sound Like?

So what does good dialogue audio ACTUALLY sound like? This is Part II of II for this little mini series, and I'm talking more on the pre-production, or recording side of things. When recording dialogue, what sounds good and what sounds bad? Before you even get into the post-production processing. Well it all really comes down to getting your mic close to the source, as well as eliminating (or mitigating) room ring, echo, and reverb. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS!
